into your ELEMENT was started out of a desire to serve others utilizing our skill sets—Alisa with her ideas & creative solutions and Scott with his attention to precision & detail to help bring a sense of calm and order to a space.

Alisa has a B.A. in Home Economics with an emphasis in Fashion Design and a minor in French from Illinois State University. She had been a stay-at-home-mom for nearly 17 years, homeschooling our 3 children from toddlerhood through high school. She currently works four days at week at the local heath department’s WIC agency and also operates an alterations business from our home.

Scott has a B.S. in Recreation and Park Administration with a minor in Spanish from Illinois State University, and a M.A.T. in Special Education from Piedmont College. He had taught special education since 2003 (taking a four-year break to teach regular ed. Kindergarten in 2006) at the elementary and middle school levels, before resigning in the spring of 2022 to begin iyE.
